(Allowable Business Investment Losses)
During 2017, Miss Lynn Atwater invested $170,000 to acquire 100 percent of the common

In 2017 and 2018, the company operated successfully, but did not pay any dividends. In 2019, it
began to experience serious financial difficulties. On July 15, 2020, the company was forced into bankruptcy by its creditors and it is clear to Miss Atwater that, after the claims of the creditors have been dealt with, her investment will be worthless.
