Your task is to compare and contrast two different system interfaces or applications.
For example, you could compare two different shopping apps, or compare the
experience of shopping for the same company via a website as opposed to an app).
You can assess them in terms of two usability criteria from the Week 1 Usability
Concepts section that you must choose and justify. (For example, you might choose to
assess in terms of effectiveness and feedback.)
You should also refer to two other appropriate HCI theories or concepts that you have
chosen and justified (for example you might consider using perception and Fogg’s
work on persuasiveness).
Your essay should reference appropriate academic papers in order to support the
arguments and points made.
Please note that this is to be written in an essay format, NOT a report format. An essay
will not have headings or sub-heading and will avoid bullet points, bolding or
underlining.
• The word count for this assessment is 2500 words.
• Submissions that exceed the word count will be penalised. The word count excludes
