The purpose of the assessment for this module is to examine whether, and to what extent, students have reached the learning outcomes of the module. The assessment for this is by means of an individual assignment which accounts for 30 % of the total grade for the module. It encourages students to apply organisational behaviour theories and concepts. Further reading such as journal and textbooks are required and you are advised to start early.
PART A: ESSAY WRITING
Question
- Discuss the benefits and challenges of having a diverse workforce. (Hints: think of biographical characteristics, perception, personalities, motivation, group development)
- Now, turn your attention to the management of such a diverse organization. What steps would you take to foster an inclusive organization? How would you ensure that it is maintained and enhanced? (Hints: organizational culture, organizational change and development, communication, leadership)
