A study examines the effect of adding hydroxychloroquinine into dog food on the chance of a dog becoming
infected by malaria. The experimenters give half of a sample of dogs the hydroxychloroquinine‐infused dog food
and the half of the dogs food without hydroxychloroquinine. The researchers soak the dog food in the
hydroxychloroquinine themselves and then give it to the appropriate dogs.
7. For 6 marks and in no more than 30 words, what poor research practice does the last
sentence of the above illustrate?
