The project is mainly driven by the EDI events we receive from carriers and certain milestones for the APLL related activities which are critical to use in planning of supply-demand. The size can be as small as for 1 customer to all customers.
The Project Proposal
Provide a couple of bullet points of key questions to be addressed
- Defining the top 8 – 10 critical milestone events that APLL’s customers would have to track to plan adequate supply for the demand forecasted for a product – this will help APLL to understand which milestones to be given more priority and build a standard set to provide to customer and enhance the value of services APLL provides in their PO Management Service.
- Getting the critical milestone is not enough! Customers want to know how much safety limits to apply for the final delivery of the product to maintain safety level of stock. Define the confidence level of these milestone events and the safety limits to apply to delivery dates.
- Define the measurent KPIs to track for each milestones, and check the performance of carriers for compliance and timeliness.

Team will consist of people from EDI team and IT team to map the events sent by carrier and pick the correct events.
Data and Technology

Students might have to use sql or advanced database concepts or can break down into small parts and use excel to do the analysis and then this can be applied to bigger data using advanced tools.
