Module Overview

This module presents the common types of investments and provides a thorough grounding in the analysis of investment portfolios. The first part of the module covers traditional asset classes and the investment environment, including the investment process as well as a discussion of mutual funds and other investment companies. In the second part of this module, standard risk-return-based asset allocation methods are introduced. Following this, the module explores popularindex models and theoretical and empirical asset pricing models and their applications to investment analysis. 1 Coursework

25% of the final module grade

The coursework consists of TWO tests (week 7 and 11)

Each test will be 45 minutes and worth 12.5% of the final mark
